Plymouth Community Psychology Service provides a highly rated and valued service to children and young people. We are seeking to recruit innovative and creative psychologists to join us as we are excited to be increasing the size of the team and have a number of new posts to fill.  We look forward to welcoming new colleagues as we embrace new ways of working.

We welcome applications from psychologists who are interested in job share and can be flexible regarding additional working hours.

As an integrated service within the Local Authority we hold an important role in strategic planning to support and promote inclusion of vulnerable children and young people, as well as those with SEND. We work jointly with partners in Children’s Social Care and the Virtual School and contribute to joint assessments with health professionals to support a holistic approach. The findings from our most recent Ofsted inspection were very positive noting particular strengths of the strong multi-agency approach adopted across Plymouth.  We use applied psychology to contribute to early intervention, and influence systemic change within schools, settings and the community. Our emphasis is on consultation and evidence-based practice.

We offer:
-Opportunity to contribute to early intervention through a graduated approach
-Opportunity to work within a strong and positive team as part of a multi-agency integrated 0-25 SEND  Service
-Regular structured supervision including peer supervision
-Access to funded CPD
-Opportunities to contribute to strategic planning and review
-Inter-agency working
-Smart working arrangements including first class IT and online business support
-A very generous annual leave package on Soulbury terms and conditions
-The chance to work in a vibrant waterfront city surrounded by beautiful beaches and a National Park

We are seeking Educational Psychologists who:
-Are committed to working in partnership with others
-Take a holistic perspective in applying psychology
-Are able to work creatively and flexibly to meet a range of needs in varied contexts
-Can work consultatively and adopt problem solving and solution focused models of working
