N170 Managed Workspace Officer - Role Profile
* If you're applying for a secondment, you must be employed on a permanent contract working continuously for 12 weeks or more. If you're currently on probation, you will be expected to complete your probationary service in the new role.
Your current line manager must also be in agreement with your application (please refer to the Secondment policy for further information).
The Business Parks Team manages City Business Park in Stoke and The Business Centre in Cattedown, providing over 150 workspaces for small and micro businesses. We offer a welcoming and supportive community for our tenants and visitors and pride ourselves on the high quality service we give.
We have a secondment/fixed term opportunity coming up for someone to cover maternity leave for the period May – December 2025 and are looking for a highly motivated and organised person to join us and help support the day-to-day management and administration of both business centres.
Offering both frontline and back office services, you will be responsible for providing financial and administration support and assisting in the management of the business centres including promoting and letting units, drawing up tenancy agreements, liaising with tenants and dealing with enquiries, undertaking credit control, raising and processing invoices and raising purchase orders. You will also assist in arranging building maintenance and repairs.
We are particularly looking for someone with lots of experience of the Council’s financial systems, as well as someone who enjoys being part of a team yet with the ability to be a self-starter and work on their own initiative to deliver high levels of customer service and help maintain excellent working relationships with our tenants.
The role is for three days a week – Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays – and is office-based due to it being very much a face-to-face, customer-facing role. Unfortunately, it is therefore not suitable for those looking to work from home.
We’re a small, very friendly team working within a busy environment which means no two days are the same, and we look forward to receiving applications from interested parties looking for development opportunities.
For more information or an informal discussion, please contact Kate Martin-Kendall, Managed Workspace Manager or Eilis Bond, Assistant Managed Workspace Manager on 01752 306000.
Closing date: Sunday 23 March 2025
Interview dates: Tuesday 1 April 2025
