Marketing & Events Technical Officer - Role Profile

Plymouth, Britain’s Ocean City, is one of Europe’s most vibrant waterfront cities. We run an ambitious annual events programme to provide a high quality, distinctive experience for visitors and local people. These include the British Firework Championships, Armed Forces Day, food festivals, live music and family events.

The Marketing and Events Technical Officer provides financial support to the Marketing and Events team, the Plymouth City Centre Company, the Plymouth Waterfront Partnership and Destination Plymouth. The successful candidate will also be required to provide hands on support at various events over the 12 month period.

In 2020 the team will deliver some of the largest events the city has ever seen to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and well organised person with experience of financial systems and processing to support these multiple teams and companies throughout 2020.
