Commissioning Assistant - Role Profile
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Plymouth City Council’s Strategic Commissioning Team as a Commissioning Assistant. The Council is recognised as taking innovative approaches to the commissioning of services and we are seeking two individuals with excellent organisational and communication skills, with the energy and enthusiasm to drive forward a range of projects working in an environment where change is the norm.
The successful candidates will help to take forward the next phase in our remodelling of social care services to make sure we are supporting the people of Plymouth to live independently and healthy lives.
The role includes project management approaches to ensure we are moving forward in our transformation of services as well as supporting Commissioning Officers with the engagement of providers, partners, service users and communities in designing excellent services. You will be well organised, good at project management and focussed on achieving excellent outcomes. You will be able to research best practice in health and social care to inform strategy and commissioning intentions, as well as undertaking needs and market analysis and writing reports and briefings.
