Community Connections Officer Role Profile

Community Connections are recruiting to their teams with the main responsibility for the prevention and relief of homelessness in line with the Homelessness Reduction Act.  

You will be joining at an exciting and challenging time as the service sets to respond to the impact of COVID 19 and further develop working relationships with partners to best support our customers who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.  

Community Connections is a multi-disciplinary team delivering services across Homelessness, Housing Improvement, Disabled Facilities Grants, Community Safety, Community Youth, and Community Development.  Our ethos is to put the customer at the centre of service delivery, creating a relationship to encourage and support with ours and other services.  

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for making a difference.  

As a Community Connections Officer you will be working as part of a large team and with Partners to provide innovative approaches to improve housing conditions, prevent and resolve homelessness whilst also being responsible for enabling customers to plan for their future housing needs. This is a demanding role which will require you to have some experience working in a similar role and have knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act.  

Duties will include community based engagement work in localities and specifically with the Gypsy, Roma and Travelling community.  

You must be happy to work independently and flexibly as you will be required to work from home whilst also working from various locations in the City.
