£26,317 - £28,785

Ballard House Permanent 37 hours per week Grade F (£26,317 to £28,785)

Senior Comminity Connections Officer (Housing Improvement) - Role Profile

Housing, Neighbourhood Regeneration, Community Safety and Community Youth Services have been brought together to create the new and innovative Community Connections Service. Community Connections is a multi-disciplinary team, working across localities, with and in communities, creating a relationship with citizens so that they are encouraged and supported to be proactive with ours and other services, thus feeling more engaged and empowered to make sustainable changes.

As part of our service and linked to changes to the requirements of HMO licensing, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for making a difference. Our Senior Community Connections Officer for Housing Improvements will be responsible for holding a complex caseload which requires more specialist knowledge and experience around Housing Improvement and Housing Legislation. This Officer will be expected to carry out a range of property or site inspections and complete detailed surveys as part of the HMO licensing process.

Initiative and flexibility are fundamental skills as you will be working across the City. A background in surveying or housing would be an advantage, but excellent communication and observation skills are essential.

This role is not suitable for job share.

For more information or an informal discussion, please contact Tracey Naismith, Community Connections Operational Manager, at tracey.naismith@plymouth.gov.uk
