PEO/484 - School Crossing Patroller
£8.75 per hour

Permanent 5 hours per week 38 weeks per year (Term time only (Morning & Afternoon) Grade B (£8.75 to £9.01) pro rata*

School Crossing Patroller - role profile

Being a Patrol Officer provides a valuable service to the local community. If you are friendly, outgoing and available during school term time this could be the job for you.

You will play a vital role in community safety by ensuring children and other members of the community have a safer place to cross the road. As a School Crossing Patroller, you can make a real difference to the safety of children at the beginning and end of the school day and encourage more children to walk.

The purpose of the role is to ensure the safety of children and others wishing to cross the road or crossing at a designated point at specific times, whilst being mindful with regard to the health and safety needs of other road users. We are looking for flexible, committed, positive ‘can-do’ people.

You will be community spirited and able to work in all weather conditions (it's dry more often than it is wet!). You will also have the support of a dedicated coordinator for advice and as a point of contact.

If you think this could be for you and want to make a positive difference in your community, then we would welcome your application.

Full training is provided along with a free uniform.  You will be paid 12 equal payments throughout the year which is approximately £130 per month.

Site available:

Thornbury Primary School, Miller Way Hours 08.30 to 09.00 and 14.50 to 15.20 = 5 hours per week, term time only.
