£27,041 - £29,577

Ballard House Permanent 37 hours per week Grade F (£27,041 - £29,577 ) per annum

Senior Community Connections Officer (Safer Communities) - Role profile

Community Safety, Housing, Neighbourhood Regeneration and Community Youth Services have been brought together to create the innovative and exciting Community Connections Service.

Community Connections is a multi-disciplinary team, working across localities, with and in communities, creating a strong relationship with citizens so that they are encouraged and supported to be proactive with ours and other services, thus feeling more engaged and empowered to make sustainable changes.

As part of our service we are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for making a positive difference across communities. Our Senior Community Connections Officer for Safer Communities is part of a small team and will be responsible for holding a complex caseload which requires more specialist knowledge and experience around collaborative working, problem solving and ASB legislation. This Officer will be expected to manage a complex workload and work with partners to effectively tackle ASB across the city using a wide range of tools. Please note that this role is expected to co-locate with Police partners.

Initiative and flexibility are fundamental skills as you will be working across the City with a range of partners. A background in working with legislation or in a collaborative problem solving role would be an advantage, but excellent communication and decision making skills are equally valuable in undertaking this exciting and rewarding role.

This role is not suitable for job share.

For more information or an informal discussion, please contact Tracey Naismith, Community Connections Operational Manager, at tracey.naismith@plymouth.gov.uk or telephone  01752 306346.
