We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Category Lead to join the team and are interested in hearing from candidates who can lead, develop and implement category strategies to transform Council spend with third parties and deliver ongoing value for money across Council expenditure.

Candidates will bring in-depth market intelligence to influence annual spend across Categories, optimise competitive tension and develop supplier relationships from a portfolio of tendering activity.

We are interested in hearing from candidates with experience across any Categories of spend, but are particularly interested if you have Construction experience.

The Council would like to make applicants aware that a Market Factor Supplement will apply to this role and there is also the possibility of some relocation costs being covered if the successful applicant has to move to Plymouth from outside the local area.
