Parking Officer Role Profile

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the Parking Services team within Plymouth Highways.   

 

This role is suitable for home working (with an occasional requirements to attend a council office, currently Prince Rock Depot). This role is suitable for flexible working subject to the needs of the service.   

 

The successful candidate will work within a back-office team responsible for the following specialist functions; controlled parking schemes, residential disabled driver parking bays and penalty charge notices representations and appeals.     

 

This technical role involves working in compliance with legislation, policy, and procedures to provide the best outcomes for the Council and providing exceptional customer care under the guidance of the Parking Officer Team Leader.    

 

The successful candidate must have good oral and written skills to confidently respond to customer and member specialist service requests, enquiries, and complaints. You will be responsible for taking ownership of parking issues, seeing them through to resolution.    

 

The successful candidate must have the confidence to identify and report risk to management providing technical/professional expertise and advice. Be proactive in monitoring and assist in implementing service improvements, changes in legislation, relevant industry trends and any key decisions or advice which impact Parking.
