N282 Agency Advisor To Fostering & Adoption Panel

An exciting opportunity for an Agency Advisor has arisen within Plymouth City Council for Children, Young People and Families. We are looking for an Agency Advisor to work within the safeguarding service. You will be joining the professional team of IRO’s/Independent Chairs /LADO and Fostering Reviewing Officer and our highly experienced fostering panel. You will be responsible for ensuring high quality panel services are delivered leading to a positive outcome for children and young people in care.

The role also has quality assurance aspect and will require you to be able to audit and undertake other quality assurance activities as required in order to improve and strengthen practice.

You will offer professional advice to the Fostering Panel as regulatory under Adoption and Children Act 2002, Fostering Service Regulations 2011, National Minimum Standards Fostering 2011 and to fulfil the range of duties identified in statutory guidance as being the responsibility of the Agency Advisor.

You must have demonstrable post-qualifying experience in a statutory childcare setting. You will need to have a working knowledge of relevant legislation including the Children Act 1989; the IRO Handbook; the Children Act 1989, Adoption and Children Act 2002, Fostering Service Regulations 2011, National Minimum Standards Fostering 2011, and the Adoption and Children Act 2002.

You must have a recognised Social Work qualification and a demonstrable CPD record to show on-going development and training.
