Senior Project and Contract Manager - Role Profile.pdf

With the magnificent moorlands of Dartmoor on the northern edge of the city, some of the best beaches in Europe to the west and with a spectacular waterfront right in its heart, Plymouth has a quality of life that few other cities can match.

Our vision is to become “one of Europe’s most vibrant waterfront cities where an outstanding quality of life is enjoyed by everyone” and through the passion and determination of our politicians, management team and staff we will make a difference for the City and its citizens. We are committed to making Plymouth a great place to live, a great place to visit, a great place for business and a great place to study.

As an ambitious and confident city, Plymouth continues to grow at a rapid pace. As a Project Manager, you will play a leading role in the delivery of some of the city’s key regeneration projects. You will be experienced in delivering highly complex projects and programmes. The workload is very varied, and comprises, new build, extensions, demolition, public realm and accommodation so we are looking for a competent ‘all rounder’ who has strong communication and contract management skills (JCT and NEC). You will be a motivated team player with a drive for continuous improvement. This role will be responsible for developing less experienced project managers and so enthusiasm and commitment to developing others is essential

Plymouth City Council has embraced working from home, and going forward this role will involve hybrid working between home and the Council’s offices at Ballard House which has stunning views across the marina. We offer flexible working hours and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
