Technical Expert - Role Profile

A permanent job opportunity is being offered as a Technical Expert in the Service Centre, to process Financial Assessments for Adult’s Social Care contributions and Children’s Services awards.  

We are seeking applications from enthusiastic individuals who can interpret complex information and make decisions within current legislation, Council policy and guidance. Suitable candidates will demonstrate: 

-       knowledge of the work area, including an awareness of benefits and pensions
-       an ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and on their own initiative,
-       excellent communication, IT and organisational skills,
-       a keenness to deliver exceptional customer service.

Duties will include;
-        Assessing financial contribution for clients with a social care need.
-        Assessing entitlement to awards for Children’s Services (Adoption and Special Guardianship)
-        Providing advice on which benefits clients may be entitled to.

This role is based at Ballard House although there will be the need for some home working dependent on Government guidelines and Council policy.   

This role is suitable for job share
