Schools Safeguarding and Inclusion Lead Role Profile
The Education Participation and Skills Service is looking for a talented Schools Safeguarding and Inclusion Lead.
The post holder will be responsible for the overview of safeguarding and inclusion for all schools and education settings in the city.
The role will involve the provision of data, quality assurance, training, briefings, support and advice to schools and education settings.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of legislation, inspection and practice in relation to safeguarding and inclusion, and will be able to work alongside a range of partners to ensure that schools and settings know what the best practice and research in this area looks like.
The successful candidate must:
- Be educated to degree level in learning, safeguarding or related field relevant to the post
- Hold Level 3 safeguarding accreditations.
- Have Robust knowledge of the role of the LA in securing strong safeguarding and reducing exclusions
- Have an understanding and experience of using frameworks and data for improvement in a range of educational situations.
- Have experience of supporting successful school improvement planning and implementation
- Have experience of dealing with and analysing information whilst under pressure, and of effectively communicating this information to others in oral or written form.
- Have experience of writing and presenting policy and strategy and recommending appropriate future action.
