E2203 - Occupational Therapist
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to become part of a dynamic and forward thinking Occupational Therapy team, providing support to children, young people and families within the City of Plymouth.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual, who is committed to the provision of holistic, high quality care and the development of children’s services.
Experience of working with children & young people with complex physical needs & developmental conditions would be preferable, although not essential.
You will be required to work in a variety of settings (including the home, school and nursery) and carry a varied caseload of children & young people with a wide range of presenting issues impacting upon functional ability & daily living. Key responsibilities include carrying out specialist assessments; providing support & recommendation, advice & signposting relating to presenting need; Assessing and managing complex posture, positioning and seating needs; Assessment & advice relating to minor/major adaptions and complex housing needs; Assessment & prescription of specialist equipment; Assessment & recommendation of manual handling needs.
