Community Connections Officer Role Profile

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Community Connections team for a Community Connections Officer.

 

This role will be dealing with people that are homeless or threatened with homelessness. The post holder will play a key role in providing advice, support and our statutory service for homeless clients.

 

This is an office based role, but there will be opportunity to work from home. It may be required, on occasion when needed, to work in the community.

 

We are looking for a compassionate, customer focused and motivated team member who will contribute to all elements of our service. They must be able to work with a range of different communities, and some clients who may display challenge behaviours.

 

The post holder’s responsibilities will include data gathering, applying the Homeless Reduction Act duties to support clients, and there will be close working relationships with partner organisations.

 

This role also requires working with vulnerable people so an awareness of safeguarding is necessary

 

The post holder will:

• Have excellent communication skills to engage with customers and partners

• Work as part of a team and also independently using their own initiative

• Be creative in respect to frontline services

• Have excellent planning and organisation skills

• Have excellent ICT skills
