CS/1274 Social Worker
£33,782 - £37,890

Midland House Permanent 37 hours per week Grade H (£33,782 to £37,890)

Social Worker Role Profile

An exciting opportunity has been created for a qualified social worker to join Plymouth Referral and Assessment Service in the Plymouth Children’s Gateway and MASH team.

This newly created post is intended to strengthen our first response to families and professionals and ensure children get a more timely service.

The post holder will take initial referrals, gather information from agency partners and make the first contact with families.

You will experience low vacancy rates and an exceptionally stable management group which we think reflects our performance as an employer. You will receive regular supervision and work closely with colleagues in the Referral and Assessment Teams.

You can expect to have your learning prioritised. We have maintained a budget for career development and career progression. We have an outstanding Assessed and Supported Year in Employment. We also have an extensive development offer to allow experienced practitioners to progress their careers and to meet the Government’s vision for national accreditation of all statutory social workers by 2020.

You will receive a competitive salary and a generous annual leave entitlement. A pilot relocation package is available for posts at Grade H and I (Social Workers and Advanced Social Work Practitioners) of up to £8000 (terms and conditions apply). (Pilot may be subject to change).

Plymouth, Britain’s Ocean City, is a great place to live and work. Located between Dartmoor National Park, the stunning South Devon Coast and the border with Cornwall, enjoying your work life balance will be a pleasure.

We are a progressive local authority with access to the latest technology and opportunities for flexible working.

If you are passionate about making a difference to the lives of children, young people and families, are committed to continuous professional development and are a qualified or soon to be qualified social worker, we would like to hear from you.

Please note that we are an Equal Opportunities Employer.

All appointments will be subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) check and successful registration with Social Work England.
