Team Manager (Permanency) Role Profile

 

Our Family is Growing – We are recruiting a Team Manager and a team of Social Workers to join us! 

 

In Plymouth we want to ensure that all children and young people in our care and all care experienced young people have every possible opportunity to reach their full potential as they grow up in our family.

 

To support our vision we are permanently increasing the size of our Permanence Service through the creation of an additional team. We are seeking a Team Manager and a team of Social Workers who are inspired by our vision that the Sky is the Limit for all of our children and young people. 

 

We are looking for individuals who are aspirational for our children and willing to do things differently to achieve the best outcomes. 

 

Creating this additional team within a growing service will mean that we can achieve and maintain lower caseloads (around 15 per social worker) so that you can develop strong relationships with our care experienced children and young people in order to support them in the ways they have told us are important to them. 

 

We know that Best Practice takes the best Social Workers; you can expect to have your learning prioritised and be given opportunities for career development and progression. We have an outstanding Assessed and Supported Year in Employment and an extensive development offer to allow experienced practitioners to progress their careers. 

 

You will receive a competitive salary and a generous annual leave entitlement. 

 

This role is not suitable for flexible working due to the needs of the service. 

 

You must have a Degree or higher qualification in Social Work that has resulted in registration with relevant professional regulatory body for the profession and relevant child care qualifying awards.
