Business Support Assistant - Role Profile

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills for the role of Business Support Assistant.

 

Business Support is a fast-paced environment that provides a window into the breadth of services the council provides for residents, visitors and partners.  

 

In order to undertake this role, it is essential that you have the following:

 

·       GCSE’s A*- C (9-4) or equivalent in English and Maths

·       NVQ Level 2 or 3

·       Functional skills in numeracy and literacy

·       Organised individual with an ability to prioritise workloads

·       Strong communication skills, with good customer service knowledge

·       A willingness to undertake appropriate learning and development as required    

 

The ideal candidate will also have the following desirable experience/knowledge:  

 

·       Experience in an administrative environment

·       Experience of working effectively as part of a team

·       Experience of providing customer care

·       Experience of maintaining records/database systems

·       Experience of using Microsoft Software Packages e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook

·       Experience of working in an environment where information needs to be kept confidential
