Asset Data Co-ordinator - role profile

An opportunity has arisen to work within the Facilities Management (Hard Services) Team to fulfil a role that provides the lead on the management and expansion of the Authorities land and property data recording systems and support the service in benchmarking and performance management activity.

The Asset Data Co-ordinator role is essential to ensure the efficient, effective and above all accurate management of the Council’s building and land assets. To be a key part of a team that sets and maintains high standards of professionalism and customer service at all times.

The role is responsible for maintaining a comprehensive record of the Council’s freehold and leasehold property and ensuring efficient running of the Council’s Asset Register and Terrier systems. They will produce bespoke reports for management by analysing, manipulating and modelling datasets and act as system administrator for the asset management systems.

This role requires an enthusiastic individual who is professional, hardworking and conscientious in their approach to record keeping, presentation and accuracy.

Key skills and experience required:

• Extensive experience of data management software packages.
• Experience of interpreting complex information and entering this into software systems. • The ability to use maps and willingness to learn to use digital mapping systems to inspect/measure properties, survey boundaries, prepare plans and give proficient advice. • Communication skills to train / coach colleagues and to articulate plans with the ability to influence and impact on decision making by providing information to assist with strategic decisions.
• Ability to interpret complex legal documentation on the authority’s obligations regarding its corporate and commercial estates
• Developed IT Skills
