Street Scene and Waste Operatives (Domestic Refuse & Recycling Collections)
Do you have previous experience of manual work, especially in waste collection, and knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation? Vacancies have become available for domestic refuse and recycling collection Operatives within our Street Scene and Waste department.
Duties will be the collection of waste and recycling from residential and business properties and public land and highways. This will include ensuring areas are left clean and tidy after collections / operations, including the replacement of bins.
The wider, generic role profile for Operatives lists the qualifications, knowledge, experience and skills we are seeking. As this is a customer facing role a high level of customer service will be required.
You will normally be required to work 37 hours per week. This will be worked subject to the needs of your employing department. If your working week involves shift, night, rota, weekend or seasonal arrangements a detailed breakdown of your working hours will be provided separately by your line manager. This role provides you with access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
