Family Support Worker - Role Profile

Plymouth City Council Observation and Assessment of Contact Team has a vacancy for a Family Support Worker. To apply for this post you must be able to demonstrate recent experience of working with either children or adults and their families.
 
The OAC Team is responsible for the delivery of supervised contact between children and their families where care proceedings have been initiated or the child is in long-term foster care.

This service is dynamic with a strong commitment to delivering excellent evidence based support assessments and interventions. The role of the family support worker is an integrated part of Plymouth City Council’s overall strategy to protect and safeguard the children of Plymouth.
 
The job involves working with the most vulnerable children in the city in partnership with family members, social workers and foster carers. You will be professionally well supported with continuous professional development opportunities.

To apply for this post you must demonstrate experience of working with vulnerable children, young people and their families and show a willingness to work on a Saturday when required.
