N802 Finance Assistant - Role Profile

Plymouth City Council’s Finance department are looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to undertake Finance Assistant role supporting our Integrated Commissioning and Public Health department.

The post holder will be a key member of the team working closely alongside the Finance Business Partner, Principal Technical Accountant and Senior Technical Accounting Officer and will be involved in duties including monthly monitoring of service budgets and Adult placements and monitoring of grants.

This is an exciting opportunity to join this dynamic team. It supports the Adult Social Care finance team and will work with colleagues on the current critical pieces of work which cover the ICP contract negotiation, Leisure Management contract negotiation and a new Bereavement Service mode.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide effective support to Budget Managers, Service support staff and senior finance colleagues through the timely provision of accurate information, financial or otherwise, to aid the decision making processes and the production of management accounts and financial statistical returns.
