Want to be part of the largest and most exciting cultural project in the UK to open in 2020? And part of the unique lifestyle of living in Devon and Cornwall? The Box, Plymouth is a £40m. +museum, contemporary art gallery and secure home for six archives and collections, which is being built adjacent to the University of Plymouth and Plymouth College of Art.
Plymouth is at the heart of the national Mayflower 400 commemorations and The Box will be its flagship legacy project. With funding secured from the City Council, The National Lottery Heritage Fund and Arts Council England, The Box aspires to deliver an ongoing programme of international significance. It needs also to be a commercial success and to be a much loved destination which attracts frequent repeat visits.
To act as a welcome host for The Box and its historic properties, informing visitors about the exhibitions, facilities and assisting in its commercial offer working in the retail outlets, on the move event ticketing and other income generation. The role requires working on a rota basis that includes some Saturdays, Sundays, Bank Holidays and scheduled evening events.
