Organisational Development Consultant Role Profile
We are seeking a talented, creative and credible OD practitioner
to lead on organisational development activities across the Council. We have
recently restructured our service and are excited about the future so if you
want to be part of an innovative and high performing team, here is your chance.
As one of our OD consultants you will support the delivery of
our People Strategy and provide a high quality service to meet the needs of the
Council. You will work with a range of people, building relationships and
enabling real change as you deliver high quality and cost effective solutions.
You will be experienced in designing and providing innovative OD
consultancy-based services, having worked in an organisation of similar
complexity. To be considered for this role, you will need to be a proven,
credible OD and change management practitioner, and it is essential that you
are either associate member CIPD, or working towards CIPD level 5.
Our ambition
We are determined
to make Plymouth City Council a great place to work. To create a place where
everyone, whatever their background, has the opportunity to reach their
potential and enjoy a good quality of life.
We want to build
an organisation where employees feel valued, inspired and empowered to help us
achieve our goals and provide the best services possible to our residents.
Plymouth’s HROD
department has reshaped its services. We are realigning our service provision
to put digital, learning and innovation at the heart of what we do. We have
created 4 new functions – Culture and Employee Engagement, HR Consultancy,
Health and Safety, and the HR Culture Partnering Team.
Our vision is to
be a trusted professional partner, empowering our leaders, partners, members,
managers and people to thrive and deliver better services for Plymouth. By
joining the team, you will play a vital role in enabling all we do to have a
positive impact by ensuring good practice is a given, that fairness and
equality are at the heart of everything we do – in our communities and our
workplace.
The Council is
implementing new ways of working and hybrid working will apply to this role.
You are likely to need to attend Plymouth sites as required to perform your
role, working from home at other times.
