We are seeking experienced qualified children’s social workers to be appointed at Grade I as Advanced Practitioners. Please state in your personal statement that you are applying for advanced practitioner.

You will be supported by the advanced practitioners group, led by our Principal Social Worker and your passion for working with children will continue through practising at the front line. You will be experienced in child protection work and will be able to demonstrate that you meet the essential criteria on the role profile at Grade I. This includes a relevant post qualifying qualification at 120 H (Graduate Level) credits or 60 Masters Level Credits or equivalence in experience defined as 5 years post qualifying experience, practicing as a registered social worker, at least three of which were worked as a front line statutory social worker in a local authority case holding children’s social work setting.

You can expect to have your learning prioritised. We have maintained a budget for career development and career progression that will allow experienced practitioners to meet the Government’s forthcoming plans for national accreditation. If you feel you are interested in this role but do not have enough experience or the right qualification, please contact us; we have an internal career progression pathway to develop our social workers after an appropriate period of practice, training and qualification.  

You will receive a competitive salary and a generous annual leave entitlement. We are also willing to discuss a variety of options in terms of flexible working, including fixed term contracts.

A pilot relocation package is available for posts at Grade H and I (Social Workers and Advanced Social Work Practitioners) of up to £8000 (terms and conditions apply).  (Pilot may be subject to change).
